The Gansbaai Beach House is situated near the area known as "the shark diving capital of the world", the name given to the stretch of sea between Dyer Island and the main land. Sharks tend to move around a bit, but Winter is definitely the best time to visit. Patience is vital though, as with all things in nature, but the reward is well worth the wait. The chances of seeing a great white shark are higher here than anywhere else. These creatures do not adapt well to captivity so this is an excellent opportunity to see one up close and personal. |

Downhill Adventures Surf School |
If you want to get into surfing but don't have time to mess around, Downhill Adventures is who you need to get in touch with. They will teach you to surf at some of the best surf spots in Cape Town. Day and multi-day courses are available and you don't need your own equipment. The instructors love surfing themselves and will give you all the information, theory and practical, that you need to ride those waves successfully. Transport to and from the beach is provided as well as a delicious lunch and refreshments. |
