WHY DO I NEED A TOUR GUIDE?

In our opinion, it is always better to do a guided tour (provided it is with a really good tour guide, or tour company), for the following reasons:

• None of your party has to drive, so you are all free to see the scenery and sights
• A good tour guide will know about the history of the place. Without this information, much of what you see and experience is meaningless - just some pretty sights . This, I feel, is an important factor.
• The tour guide knows the fastest and safest routes. A whole day can be wasted if you get lost. If you only have 4 days at your disposal, this can be frustrating and expensive, let alone dangerous.
• The tour guide knows what the important attractions are in the specific area. However, many of the tours are pre-set along a route, so you might want to stay longer at a specific place and choose to skip something else which you feel is of less interest, but are unable to do so
• Often a tour is not as expensive as what it seems at first glance. But the time you have added wear-and-tear costs to your own vehicle, plus the cost of fuel, entrance fees, food etc, you will find that you cannot do it that much cheaper.
